A wonderful early 19th century antique woven pearl, and seed pearl brooch.
Backed on mother of pearl frame with silver oval support.
Unmarked gold pin, hinge, catch and locket mounts, probably 15ct gold.
Glass or quartz locket panels. The locket opens from the back as shown.
These woven pieces are becoming increasingly rare.
Natural horse tail hair twine was used to bind the pearls to the backing plate.

Condition: very good. A few small seed pearls are missing to two rosettes as shown
The mother of pearl back is not cracked or chipped and the gold and silver fittings are all good.
