9ct Gold Victorian Fob

Estate sale.

A very good and substantial mid Victorian fob in 9ct gold.

Usually worn with an Albert chain but also suitable as a pendant/medallion.

Birmingham hallmarks dated 1853 / 1854 (cycle IV)

Weight 7.3 grams

Size 39 x 23 mm plus 8 mm ring.
Thickness of rim is 2.5 mm.

In good all round condition with only light surface marks as shown.

Nice bright cut engraved design to inner surface.

Vacant raised shield cartouche which could be engraved.
Vacant upper scroll also could be engraved.
The plain back with hallmark could also be engraved.
